I think you have this mixed up, Scylla. You need 1 year work experience in the last 10 years. Only Canadian work experience needs to have been acquired in the last 3 years.

Oh that does change things...I have been working full time from 2001 to 09/2015 at the same Gov job! In the form they did ask about the past 10 years and the highest you can check is "more than 6 years". (The other question was for Canadian work exp)

I talked with my wife yesterday and we decided to try applying anyway, even with the 1 year work in the past 3 years thing.
As soon as we have our language test results we will submit out application and see what happens.

Yes - you're absolutely right. I confused the two.

Have you looked into the ECA process? This also need to be completed before you can create a profile.
