Hello everybody,

I'm still working hard on my background declaration form. I'm trying to fill out my Membership or association with organizations.
But with some things I just can't exactly remeber the dates. With a few things I can't remeber the months really well. But of some of my memberships I can remeber the years exactly either.

What shall I do?
Just make an estimation as good as I can?
What if the dates are not correct?

Ask family members to help, they might remember certain dates.

Well, I've asked them already. But they didn't know either.

I would honestly try as hard as you can to get as close as you can. If you want, put in an explanation saying that you aren't totally sure of the exact months/years but this was as close as you could get.

Reason: if they find out the dates were off, you could get an interview and possibly get the whole thing thrown out for misrepresentation. Might not happen, but not worth the risk!

I agree with this. It's very unlikely that you'd be called out for misrepresentation on that, but adding the note saying that you're not 100% sure is a good CYA.

Oh, okay.

I'll put a note with it then, because I'm not completely sure about the dates.

I spend yesterday and this morning the whole time calling all the companies and organizations etc where I worked or did activities. But they didn't have the exact dates in their system anymore. What do I do now? I'm not allowed to leave gaps so I can't leave them out.
I can make a very close estimate but some dates, specially the months might be off. There's just no way for me to find the exact dates anymore.
Do you think this is a problem?
Shall I just make an exact astimate, and then add a exclamation point and say that I made an estimate as good as I can, and even contacted all the organizations but that they didn't have the dates either anymore?

just do the best that you can.....as long as it is truthful to the best of your knowledge and belief.....

Put the dates as close to correct as you can, and attach a note stating that you are not sure about some of the dates. Mention which ones, and state you did contact the organizations to try to find out, but were unable to get more exact info.
