Question about full/part time status for PGWP eligibility as an International Student

Hello, I'm in a weird situation and I need some help.

So IRCC mentions that to be eligible for PGWP, you have to maintain full-time status as a student in Canada during each semester of the study program, except for the final semester which you may study part-time.

In my case, I did part-time during the winter 2025 session because I had only 2 courses left. However, I also did a required Internship right after during the summer 2025 session.
I know that PGWP should be approved if last semester only was part-time, but what If it was followed by a required Internship ?

So my questions are :
- Will IRCC treat the internship term as the real “final semester” or will the last academic course term (winter 2025) count as the final one?
- Has anyone here been part-time in the last course term and then did a mandatory coop/internship after, and still got the PGWP approved?

I didn't apply for PGWP yet but I am very scared this could cause a refusal and I don't know If I could do something in this situation.

I would like to inquire about the Spousal Open Work Permit (SOWP) eligibility under the updated IRCC regulations. My spouse currently holds a valid open work permit based on my student status. I understand that recent changes may affect eligibility for extensions depending on the type of program I am enrolled in.
Could you please confirm:

1. Whether the BA in Psychology qualify as a professional degree under IRCC’s criteria for SOWP eligibility?
2. If not, are there any other programs that would meet the criteria for my spouse to extend their work permit?

The transcript include everything so the internship will appear last since it's the last thing I have done to complete my program. The thing is I couldn't be full time in winter 2025 anyways since I had only 2 courses left.

All you can do now is include a letter of explanation to why you were part time and why your internship was the last semester and needed to be completed to graduate. May not be an issue if you explain it.

By the way, where do people usually send the letter of explanation ? Do I put it in client-info with the language test results ?
I didn't send my PGWP request yet.
