I got my approval letter says my study permit has been approved, and my passport has been sent back to me as well.
So right now I have to do flag-pole in order to get my study permit, but I haven't did that before. Therefore, I appreciate some guide or suggestion about doing flagpole.

My parent is going to drive me to the Niagara falls, and then I'll have to walk alone through Rainbow Bridge and go back to Canada. That is what my consultant told me to do.
However, I'm still a bit hesitating because I'm not sure if it works or not.

I'm wondering any of you have experience doing flagpole? :o Thanks

# I have a Hong Kong passport with a long valid date.

it works just like the consultant told you. Make sure you take all the documents with you, like your admission letter, approval letter from CIC, a copy of your bank account or however you will be paying tution. Everything is not required but good to have just in case.

You basically go to the US side and tell them you are flagpoling to go back to canada. They do what they call an administrative denial (this BTW does not mean the same as having been denied entry to the US, in case you are wondering. I checked.). Come back to canada and they will process your study permit.

People do this all the time, i did it too (in BC though)
