Question about family memeber in Permanet residence in Canada

Hello all,

Do I need include my father and mother in the "Application for Permanent Residence in Canada", since I am married.

I am not sure, as per my understanding, in western countries, father and mother is not part of family.

Please advice.

Their name will be mentioned in Aditional Family Information's form but they can't be your dependants except legal wife and dependants children. You can sponsered your parents once you get citizenship of Canada.
