Hi All,

I applied for Canadian PR under FSW category

Application Sent to Sydney: May 29, 2009
Application Reached : Not sure when as I used USPS
Draft Cleared : June 29, 2009

1) Since the draft is cleared should I assume the application is accepted?
2) I gave my IELTS exam and waiting for result. Should my wife also appear for IELTS ??
I thought just the primary application should give IELTS. Please correct me if I am wrong

Thanks,

1. Not 100% sure but since it was en cashed then your more than halfway now. There is a big chance that your application will be considered for visa office.

2. Only the principal applicant is required to take IELTS.

ohhh...why not 100% sure?

Having your money order been cashed by the CIO means that they accepted your application in the form of (completeness only), it means there is no any missing information or forms in your application at this stage. and they started processing it to check whether you are eligible or not (under any one of the three categories 1 or 2 or 3).

I have a quick question on the Draft. When I took a DD from an indian bank, I got encashed right away. So what does that mean. What in case of a rejection?

When you made your money order it hasn't been cashed right away, it was withdrawn from your account by the bank right away to be retained for the purpose of being cashed by the beneficiary later.

In order to know whether it has been cashed by the beneficiary or not yet you need to take the attached copy of your money order to your bank and ask the teller to track it to check whether it has been cashed by the CIO or not yet, and then the teller will check in their system and tell you if it is done or not.

If your application got refused OR approved by the CIO they will cash your money order at first and process the application (in case of refusal) they will send you a rejection letter explaining the reasons and confirming that they will refund your processing fees within maybe 10 to 12 weeks by sending a certified check for you by mail.

right said, Fred...
