Hello, I will be attending the University of Toronto in January. As a US citzen I am allowed to stay in Canada for 6 months without a visa. Last year I studied abroad in China on Chinese government scholarship. My major is Chinese translation . I speak English and Chinese. My worry is that I will be turned down for a visa due to that fact I have depression. Its been quite a worry for me. Please does anyone know anything about this.

No - depression should not impact your visa.

Note that if your program is more than six months in total duration, you need a study permit. In this case you cannot study without a study permit for the first six months. You must obtain a study permit before beginning any classes at U of T.
