I am currently an international student in Canada. I have some questions about the definition of damaged passport at Canadian border, and the validity of using it.
I was returning from US to Canada last December. There was an I-94 form attached to a page. When I was asking an officer to remove and return the I-94 form, he teared a small piece of edge (about 3 cm x 0.5 cm) with the staple.
Since I am planning to traveling soon, I wonder will there be any trouble using the current passport. Will it be considered invalid at Canadian border?
There is no visa or stamp on the other side of the page.
