I've gotten my PR through spouse class and now that I am here I'd like to go to college. I have a pretty good high school GPA and I've taken honors English classes, but the rest of my classes were just normal classes. My question is on the website for the college I'm interested in, it says that the Nursing Program I'd like to go into requires University level classes. I don't know what the U.S. equivalent of that would be. Could I still be accepted with what I have?

University level English classes, or a university degree prior to admission?

If it's university stream English classes, you'll want to ask the college if your English classes in high school are acceptable. Some high schools in Canada offer two English classes: one for people trying to go to university, and one for everyone else.

If it's a university level degree, you'll need a bachelor's degree of some sort, likely science, prior to nursing.

Don't worry about WES credential assessment yet.

Some programs require 2 years of college first or a univeristy degree. You should be fine entering a 4 year nursing RN program with good high school marks. Some programs have 2 years in college and 2 years in university to become and RN. There is also some 2nd entry programs where people with a universitu degree or a few yeara of university can apply to a condensed 2-3 year program that runs all year.
