If my great uncle moved to Canada and became a naturalized Canadian citizen would I be granted citizenship/ a Candian passport based on that, as I do have family who are in Canada and are Candian citizens (cousins etc) but the link to family is my great uncle who moved from England to Canada and became a naturalized citizen years ago.

Thanks in advance

No - you have no claim of citizenship through a great uncle. He's too far removed from you for there to be any benefit.

So it’s just be through parent, aunt, uncle or child that someone could get citizenship though family

No - only through a parent and very occasionally a grand parent.

You cannot get citizenship through a child, aunt or uncle.
