Question about American selling house in Canada

Is there anything I should be aware if my wife and I sell our house in Canada?

Do I have any tax obligations in the USA? Am I able to exempt from taxation in the USA like with regular income tax?

To be clear, you're not tax exempt in the US for your income earned here. You still have to file taxes in the US. However you can claim credit for any taxes already paid to Canada in your US tax return.

Yes I am aware. Sorry. But If I sell a house here in Canada after I live in it for a year and pay no capital gains tax on it, do I have to pay capital gains tax on it in the states?
