Hello everyone,

I’m applying for permanent residence (non-Express Entry) after receiving an OINP nomination.

I completed the digital PR application and uploaded all documents that are:

  • requested in the online application, and
  • listed in the IMM 0199 document checklist.
However, in the PR non-Express Entry portal, there is also a dropdown list of “additional supporting documents”(e.g. proof of language proficiency, education, settlement funds, work experience, etc.).

These documents were already provided during the OINP nomination process, but they are not explicitly listed in IMM 0199 for the federal PR stage.

I’m a bit unsure how to proceed:

  • I don’t want to upload unnecessary documents if they’re not required at the PR stage.
  • At the same time, I don’t want to risk delays or complications if IRCC later determines that one of these documents is needed.
For those who’ve gone through the OINP non-Express Entry PR process:

  • Did you upload these additional documents again in the PR portal?
  • Or did you strictly follow IMM 0199 and only upload what was listed?
Any guidance or shared experience would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
