Question 8 on the sponsor questionnaire states….

Have you resided in countries other than Canada?

If Yes, Give the name of the countries where you resided, your complete address(es) and telephone numbers in these countries, as well as period of residence at each address.

Do they mean in the last 5 or 10 years or since the age of 18 or 21 or do they mean every in my whole life?

We moved a lot when I was a child (about every 2 years) all of it outside of Canada. In fact I have never lived in Canada. It will be nearly impossible for me to recreate this. Any advice ?

Thanks

My husband, and sponsor, put every address. He however, has only lived in the states for 13 years - but we still had to list 5 addresses for that, and used a separate sheet of paper to continue.

Thanks for the response CAN_US in my case its over 40 years outside of Canada and probably about 25+ addresses if I knew them all in, about 4 or 5 countries ...... after 18 y/o is not too much of a problem maybe check some old credit reports or something but from 1 y/o to about 14 y/o is a real problem cuz I really don't remember.....

They mean your whole life. Be as accurate as possible, but for any dates or addresses you don't know and can't find out, just attach an explanation. I did this with my application, and no one ever questioned me further about it.

resided i though it meant places where you lived for proloned period of time
for ex i was in russia for month to get married and i did not include that in the question
is that a problem?

i don't think that would be a problem, as you only visited there, even if it was for a month, you didn't actually 'live' there i.e. made that address your official address.

Huron - How old are you?

If you are 40-ish, then you need to list all addresses since the age of 18 (not earlier).

The rule is last 10 years OR from age of 18 to present - whichever is longer. In your case I believe age 18 to now is the longer period of time. If so, the period you need to provide history for is age 18 to now.

Does this help or just make things more confusing???

Scylla,

Thanks for the info. To me your answer makes sense so from that stand point it is not confusing. But as you probably noticed your answer is different from some of the others in the thread.

Thanks again !
