Query related to CEC, closed work permit and BOWP

Hello!

I am on closed work permit. I have applied PR application through CEC stream without claiming the 50 points of job offer. Now I lost the job but my closed work permit is valid and I can only work until I get some other LMIA job. But now the closed work permit is about to expire so my question is will I get the BOWP even if I am on closed work permit as I have not claimed the 50 points of valid job offer?

Yes if you have a CEC PR application in progress and your closed WP expires within the next 4 months, you can apply for BOWP. BOWP has nothing to do with whether you claimed the job offer points or not. The BOWP application will give you maintained status once your closed WP expires so you can remain in Canada, but you can start working for another employer only after your BOWP is approved.
