Hi Guys

Thank you for all the valuable information you guys share here. It's a great support group!

I got my ITA this April and and below is my situation:
Indian, working in USA for the past 1 year. I got my fingerprinting done today to send to FBI for US PCC.
I am going to India next month for visit and plan to get my India PCC done there.

Questions:
1. Is PCC like a stamp of the passport? Or it can be a Certificate from both US and Indian Police?
2. Can I get PCC done from where I stay in a rented apartment? Or it's better to get it done from the Permanent Address City?

I got my PPC from UK - it's like a certificate that says I don't have a criminal record in that country.

I still haven't applied for my Indian PPC because I am still waiting for ITA. But I know that the Indian PPC is also like a certificate and not a stamp on the passport.

It's always better to get a PPC from your own city than elsewhere.

Hope this helps. Good luck.

Thank you for your quick response!

Also, while getting my medical done, if they think there is any sort of issue in the blood test or anything. Would they inform me? or directly upload the results to the CIC?
Coming from the point not to waste my in the fees if they might reject on medical basis.

I haven't done my medical yet so I don't know if the doctors let you know the results.

But other members here have said that you don't get a medical report in hand, just a document with a reference number that you have to upload to CIC.

The medical test is very basic apparently - just a routine blood test, chest x ray and blood pressure check. And unless you have a serious illness you should not worry about it.

Good luck.

Gotcha! Thank you and wish you the same.

I am reading at many places that PCC should be after you left the country.
So if I will be in India till April 30th, and will travel back to US. Do I need to apply for PCC towards the end of the vacation period? I am confused now!! Please help!

if you are yet to go to india, complete your holiday and apply for the PCC from the indian mission abroad once you have left india
