I have 2 queries:

1- I have sent my application to CIO in 1st week of April

Request you to please clarify - if anyone has applied/received PCC from Indian consulate in last 2-3 months, then how much time they are taking on an average.. these days ?

2- On the site on Indian Consulate SFO, under supporting documents, it is written that for "Proof of Residence: Driving license, or PG&E, Water or landline telephone bill displaying applicant's address, House Lease Agreemen, Bank/credit card/mobile phone statements are not accepted as residence proof. "

- PG&E is mentioned as one e.g. which is in US.......so we need to take US address or Indian address proof ?

- We need to take only one proof out of the ones mentioned above ?

- I came to US after few days of marriage only from India so I don't have any proof in my name of my husband's permanent address in India ? Can I take marriage certificate which shows Indian address. Please suggest ?

Thanks,

I need to apply for India PCC from SFO consulate. I have the following questions:-

1. Do the photocopies of US Address/ID proof need to be coloured or can they be B/W as well.
2. I plan to send both mine and spouse's application in one package. Do I need to include 1 return envelope or 2
3. Which among USPS or Fedex is better for sending docs from Seattle(where i live)

Esteemed members please advise.

If i Go to Consulate office San Francisco to apply for PCC, do they submit my original passport and keep it with them? I need to travel after 10 days of submitting this application.
Someone said if you want to pick up the PCC yourself once its done, then you don't have to submit the original Passport to them. Does anyone know anything about it?
