LANDED..........
Still not decided
Hi All

I did my landing on 27th of October 2010 in Pearsun airport Toronto, Canada. No one checked and asked about my list of goods carrying and pics of gold carrying. I do not have any stamped from Custom Authority on the list. Is there any problem with it? and how I can resolve it?

Thanks

Unless you tell the CBSA when landed that you have 'goods to follow' and present your B4 form for stamping, they are not going to ask every passenger about the B4 forms. It is your requirement to get it stamped if you have goods to follow. If you really have any goods sent by cargo to Canada then perhaps you will not get customs exemption for the goods shipped. Otherwise there is no problem.

@Wilson

Thanks for your reply. If I go back to my country and carry all the gold which I brought with me, would it create any difficulty for me with Airport Toronto or Airport Home country.

And 2ndly if I reenter Canada such those goods I brought up again then it would be any problem for me in both the Airports?

Thanks

Any opinions from anyone????

1. I'm aware that [probably] u r leaving Mississauga for good.
2. Those 'goods' might not create an/y issue@Pearson... but@your homeland's a/port - their rules'd apply.
3. When [if ever] u decide to return - w/out a stamped B4 -- u'd be paying duties... u get no waiver/s.
4. It was your [only your] call to get the B4 stamped while u entered here in Oct-2010... now it's too late.
5. However, w/out much ado, if u hit Pearson [Terminal-1]* & try getting the B4 stamped now - they might just accept it.

Good luck on your future endeavours !

Qorax
*Don't info them that u r 'leaving'. And pretend as u were unaware. There's a counter outside the a/port for this purpose.

Another solution is to keep gold items in your Canadian bank locker.
There is bank in Canada, which locker is free of charge for first year, sorry don't know
exactly which bank.

.

Scotiabank.
But not all their 'branches' have locker facility.

Member Deeaar recently opened an a/c with Scotiabank@Bramlea City Centre, but his locker is in another branch, about 5 Kms away. Nonetheless, if u insist, the local branch will get u the facility somewhere else.

Thank you Qorax. But I have question Would their stamp contain date? If I got it stamped from them now they will stamped in current date? would it not be create a problem in my country of Airport?
Thanks

Phone and visit the nearest CBSA office if I were you, so that the form can be stamped before your shipment arrive in Canada.
