Query reg. Proof of Funds.. please help with your suggestions

Hi All,

I am from India and applying for PR.. I have a query reg proof of funds. According to CIC website, we need to maintain 12300 Canadian Dollar as funds i.e around 6,20,000 INR when single person is applying for PR.

But few of my friends told me to maintain 9,00,000 INR which is 18000$ . is it really required or maintaining 12,300 CAD is fine ?

P.S: I am married but applying PR mentioning that spouse is Non Accompanying

You have to maintain at least $15,312 since you have a spouse. It doesn't matter that your spouse is non-accompanying. You must still show proof of funds to cover two people.
