Query on I797B document for H1b stamping Interview

Hi Friends,

• Currently I am staying in Canada(Toronto) and have a regular appointment scheduled in Calgary Consulate on Jun 14th 2021.
• I am getting prepared with the list of documents for the stamping interview.
• One of the documents that is required for stamping an interview is the I797B approval notice, currently I have only a photocopy of the same , original copy is with my employer in India .
• Currently in India there was a strict lockdown due to the pandemic situation and my employer office is closed and unable to send it to me to Canada.
• If things go well in the coming days my employer will try to send me the original copy.

In case if my employer is unable to send me the original approval notice , can I attend the stamping interview with a photocopy of I797B and I129 forms ?
Please provide your valuable inputs in this case.

Check with your local consulate.
Some HR guys are picky or dont know what documents to be given and in that case you should explain them with quoting reference of the email you received on the document list.

Courier service is available. Not sure why getting document from other country is a problem.
Visa officers and cbp are used to see full page originals.
