Dear Members,

I am an applicant for FSW-1 and submitted all my supportive documents to the visa office at Seoul in South Korea. My e-status was, "Received by visa office" meanwhile they changed the status to "In process". I have confusion about this status...does it mean that my documents are still pending review or the reviewing process has been finished...what will be the next step or how long it will take time for decision making. Please, get me out of this illusion..I'm getting worried.

Thank you,

Sushil Muna.

it means that your documents are reviewed and started to process.
Nobody can tell how long it will take. It depends on many factors, your individual unique life story.

Agreed. It depends on your VO. Some VO's have longer waiting periods than others.

Thank you Dear Slavasz and Mazo

I still have question whether the chances of rejection. Can I believe that they accepted my documents or there will be chances for rejection too? Please help me to out of this illusion.

Thank you.

There is wide controversy about whether an applicant passes once his statues becomes at In Process phase. My personal view on this is that as long as the application is reviewed, then eligibility is confirmed based on the documentation you provided. The VO, then, proceeds to authenticate your paper, and as long as they are so, then, all will be fine.

Cheers

Thank you very much Mezo. I agreed your opinion.

Dear experienced members,

Can some body tell me what is the chances for getting approved for visa after getting e-status "in process". Are there cases who has rejected after getting e-status "in process"?

Nobody can tell you. It depends on many factors, your individual unique life story, the way you prepared your reference letters, the way those who signed your reference letters respond to the calls.
At this stage they went through the check list and briefly checked your supporting documents. It means: work experience - here is the letter, check. Then they check one by one each document - do all duties much claimed NOC? does the company exist? and so on and so forth.

Agreed. You need to just wait.

Thank you dear Slavasz and Mezo for you kind suggestion. I agreed with your opinion.

Hi there...

I will also be applying with the VO as Seoul. I'm South African though, teaching English in Korea. This is my second year. I am also keen to see the processing times for Seoul.
I'm following another thread for post-June 26-2010 applications. Very informative.
