Querry regarding getting return ticket for visitor visa for minor (3+ years) with parents

Hi Everyone,
I wanted to know that is getting return ticket for visitor visa for minor (3+ years) compulsory? When the minor is traveling with parents having study visa and open work permit? Will there be an issue at immigration POE on one way ticket of minor having visit visa?

Was their application done with the parents? If yes, it means their visa was issued for a longer stay, so no need for return visa. I travelled with my 2 year old who had only a TRV and we had one-way tickets. When we got to the border the officer issued him a Visitor's record which allows him to stay for the full duration of my studies.

One way ticket is fine.
