Queries while applying GCMS notes

I would like to apply GCMS notes to get updates for my CEC application for PR.
following are my doubt and queries I would appreciate if any of you could answer, while i try to apply online:

1. I need to order under privacy act is this correct?
2. I would also like to get update for my spouse also.So in that case apart from consent form attachment (IMM-5744), any other information i need to provide ?
3. In Act & Record selection section :
3.1 Please select the Act under which you are submitting the request. rivacy Act(hope this is correct option?)
3.2 File Type:what should i select in following option.
Immigration File:temporary Residence
Immigration Fileermanent Residence
4. Attach documents:
what other documents are required other than IMM-5744 ?

5.Anything other important info which you think would be useful during online ordering for GCMS notes?

Just want to share my experience.

Apply for GCMS notes online or by mail. I did it online http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/atip/requests-atip.asp

It's either free (if you are in Canada - you need proof of address like a bill or something), or it will cost you $5 (if you are outside Canada)

All you need for GCMS notes is your AOR (file number)

The website I provided has info about inquiring for your spouse. Or just read the whole page, because it has all the info you need to know. It's pretty clear.

Select "Permanent Residence" because you are requesting GCMS notes for your PR application.

The process time is 30 days.

Yes CEC. Your File number that starts with E00... is also your CEC application number in the ATIP online request.

Do you get the note by email or by regular mail?
