Dear Sam,

You don't need IMM5455.
Who may use this application
This application is for permanent residents within Canada who would like to apply for:
 an initial (first) PR Card
 a renewal of a PR Card that has or will soon expire or
 a replacement of a PR Card that has been lost, stolen or damaged

What you have to take with you are:
Your passport.
Your original COPR received from visa office.
Your funds
Your list of goods : B4/B4a.:
Your printed address and phone number in Canada.

Regarding forms B4/B4A:
Make a list of those you are taking with you from (Dubai?). Make another list which you are shipping from your home country. Random count is OK for those in many pieces. Ex: Assorted casual dress : One box, Assorted winter cloths: one box, Assorted linen: 10 pcs. Assorted shoes : 6 pair.
Cutleries: 2 dozen.
Individually show those costly or single items like:
Laptop - Dell - Model----: one,
Camera - Canon Model--- : one,
Digital camcoder, Sony Model----: One.,
Dinner ser 90 pcs : Bone China : One box.....etc.
You can show appoximate price in dollars for each.
Photos and invoices are not mandatory. That is up to your choice.

Hi Wilson,

Regarding the funds upon arrival in Canada, aside from the Canadian Dollars in cash, can we show Bank Certificates from our country or do we have to change them into bank notes and travellers cheques? Thanks.
