- Quebec rules require that you must have lived in Canada for 1 year to apply from Canada i.e. to submit Selection Certificate Application to Montreal.
- Ive only been in Canada for 3 months so nationals of my country must submit application for Quebec selection certificate to Paris.

Question - if I submit my application to Paris, that means I will have to fly to Paris if called for an interview - >:( do you know if I can arrange to have interview in Montreal even though I submit application to Paris. Thank you.

Seniors please assist.

Nope, it would be Paris

thanks for your prompt reply PMM. One more quetion please - how do you map TEF or TEFAQ test result to Quebec selection points? it seems its currently discretionary by selection officer? is there a minimum score you must get?

then I have BEng Electronics & Computer Engineering (6 points) and 1 year experience as Quality Assurance Analyst (for enterprise information systems) - how do I find out if this job is on the On Demand list.

Thanks.

Hey PMM, I reviewed the rules and note that in fact, I may have to apply to New York Office. See below:

Country where you legally reside

* "The country where you legally reside other than as a visitor (tourist) or asylum seeker." - Canada as a student.
* You must have been legally admitted to this country for a period of at least one year. - my study permit is for one year.
* You must be residing in this country at the time of receipt by the immigration office concerned of your application for a selection certificate or your application for a certificate of acceptance. - currently residing in canada (outside Quebec) now that I am about to make this application.

When I select country I legally reside as "Canada (outside Quebec)" - it shows New York. So is this logic right to submit an application to New York? Condition 3 above means that I have to physically travel back to home country & apply from there & then return to Canada as a student which is impractical.
