Quebec extra steps for sponsorship

Hello,

After sending the application for the old form, what other steps are required for Quebec specifically? CSQ application? or they are going to let us know? I just don't want to slow things down!

CIC will send you a letter requiring you to apply for CSQ. You need that letter to apply for CSQ. Hard to know what will be the timeframe for that now as they want to reduce the processing time to a year. We applied to CIC in august 2015 and got the letter to apply for CSQ in June 2016.

I submitted my paper on August 11th 2016 and I received the letter from CIC by the end of October. I sent the sponsorhip and CSQ application to MIDI the first week of November, and in December I received a letter from MIDI apologizing for the delay because of excessive amount of sponsorship applications. I am still waiting for CSQ.

I am still waiting for CSQ.

In our case, we submitted CSQ application in July 2016 and got CSQ in about 8 weeks. Now, there was christmas and new year holidays, which will likely increase a bit the delay, but you should get it very soon anyway.
