I was hoping I will find an answer here, or maybe someone in the same situation.
I applied for the CSQ at the office in Vienna. At the interview everything seemed to be o.k. but the officer thought he cannot certify that my work book was o.k. so he kept it for further investigations. This was 8 months ago (18.06.2010). The guys over at the Immigration office in Vienna are unable or unwilling to give me any kind of info on how long this will take, or what's going on. Furthermore, I am on my own here, as I start thinking these guys in Quebec might be utterly stupid (how can you look in an original documents you've seen thousands of and not be able to say it's o.k. or not??), anyways, the problems I have is what can I do? It looks as this might take 5 years for them to clarify, and what's more annoying is that I was accepted but he said I would receive the CSQ just after he can verify my work book is o.k.
My question, do you guys think there is something I can do to speed the things up a bit, or should I start looking for a job offer from another province and apply again there? if so, do you know any way one can find an offer, do all other provinces need an offer? Is quebec the only one selecting immigrants without offers?
