Hello BCGUY, Leon, Rup.

Please explain to me . how do people( Immigrants ) in Canada go to quebec? i mean, do they need a visa just to visit Quebec, or they need a visa just when they want to live and work there?

Thanks for your reply. But i think even if you have PR from another province in Canada, you may not be allowed to live and work in Quebec unless u are selected by Quebec or probably if you are a Canadian citizen u may live and work in Quebec without neccessarilly passing through the immigration process ?, am i right?

my understanding is that Quebec has a special SW scheme that gets you PR, but it is probably more difficult than FSW from looking at their requirements

once you get PR, no matter what scheme you used, you are a PR of Canada and can go live and work anywhere you want

some people refer to the Quebec "welcome tax" which people allegedly have to pay to enter Quebec, this is nonsense, it is a misnomer for a Quebec Provincial tax on the purchase of new property
