I have applied under FSW2 on 12th of March-10. My status is showing "Received by Visa Office". Unfortunately I missed one call from CHC New Delhi today. Telephone Number was "+911141872000". Again they dialled my residence number and enquired about my name, spouse name, Reaon Official/Personal of my visit to Canada in 2007, ask about my company name and from which company I applied Visa (The name of the company was differ as I had received invitation on company which was our group company but I am working in different company). My wife has given satisfactory reply and the lady has also told to my wife that I am not picking my mobile. I called on that number and reception lady told me that who soever called you he/she will call you again after some time. But I did not receive any call from them?

What you people say am I being checked background? On what stage they checked it after completing review of my file/docs? Does this background check means I am eligible for processing? Then why my stats is showing "Received by Visa Office".

One more thing would they call me again? What are the chances of my P.R.?

Your local visa office will verify your case properly.

Just concentrate the forms when you submit your initial application. They will verify only what you have claimed in your initial application.

There will not be any problem if they verify your
Education
Family Details
Language Ability
Age etc.

The problem may arise in your work experience category.
Be prepare an inform your past employer about the verification of visa office.

The fact that in e-CAS it shows "Received by Visa Office" does not meant that they couldn't have finished the review and started processing.
Wait for a few days and most probably your status will change to "In Process" and you will receive AOR from Visa Office.

Have patience, this is all routine stuff they have to undertake. Sometimes the online status will not reflect changes immediately and it can take weeks for that. Your BG check is underway so that means there has already been some movement in your case.
