Hi Qorax,

I will be landing in Canada this week... currently I am on F1 visa in US valid till August 2013 and I also have a student visa valid till Dec 2012.

Please advise, If after completing my landing process in canada and staying in Canada for 1 or 2 days, I can return back to US and continue my job for 1 month... will there be any issues entering US by US immigration on F1 visa...

Also advise, if there can be some issues with canadian immigration if I do so...

All I want to do is give an notice to my employer and come to canada permanently.

Please advise,

As long as your visa is valid, you shouldn't have a problem re-entering the US.

It is quite common for people to "land" (convert status from "foreign national" to "permanent resident") and then leave to settle their affairs. You will need to bring your B4/B4A forms (marked as "goods to follow") for anything you want to bring into Canada when you come to settle permanently. CBSA will not have any problem if you wish to land and then return back to the US immediately following.

You will need to provide CIC with your Canadian address for the PR card within 180 days. If you have an address in Canada now, you can give that address to them and they will mail it to you.

Congratulations on becoming a PR.
