Put the case on hold for a year

Hi there,
My mom has been invited to provide medical exam results. Her circumstances have changed that she can neither go for the nearest certified medical exam center nor to move to Canada in a very near future. She simply can't leave her old mother (my grandmother) alone for a day due to the disability that requires the constant help from my mother.
Is there a way to put the case on hold for a year or "freeze" its progress for some period?

The most you can do at this point is request an extension for the medical for a couple months. This will give her a bit of time. However IRCC won't wait forever and will eventually just refuse the application.

If you really think there's no way she can do the medical in 1-3 months, consider withdrawing the application.
