Goodnight. My name is Alberto and I am gay, my boyfriend by name Luis Manuel and I have had problems in Mexico because even the police are finding people like us so we are seeking help to flee our country but we do not know what to do nothing ; I study Nursing and my boyfriend studies nutrition so we have decided to abandon our studies and flee to Canada once the visa is no longer necessary but we want to know if we can go to Canada without our life being threatened by being gay and if we can finish studying In Canada or where we can work ... I hope you can help me. Thank you.

If at all possible, you would be far better off applying to immigrate as skilled workers rather than taking the refugee route. Mexico is on the Designated Countries of Origin list which means the chances of a refusal for refugee claimants from Mexico is very high: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/refugees/reform-safe.asp

FYI - once the visa restriction is lifted, you will still need to apply for and obtain an approved ETA to come to Canada.
