If I already meet the Residency Requirement (i.e. 2 years in 5 year period), does it mean I will get PRTD? I have a family issue and must go back to home country. I already meet Residency Requirement (2 years in 5 year) and will submit PR Card renewal. Can I leave Canada after I send the PR card renewal application? Or I must wait in Canada to receive new PR card?

Due to the federal strike, it will take months to receive my new PR card. I prefer not to wait for months, because I have family issue in my home country.

If you have US visa, you can also try the land border without PRTD.

Could you please advise, how? Thank you

How? You take a flight to an US destination (such as JFK New York) from your home country. From JFK, you take another flight to Buffalo NY. Afterwards, you take a taxi to Rainbow bridge and then walk on foot to the Canadian land border across the bridge, show your passport to them and you reached Niagara Falls in Ontario.

I'd just add - it may make things a bit or possibly a lot quicker to have the expired PR card with you, and even copies of the PR card renewal application - personally I'd show the PR card with passport, and just tell them you have submitted renewal application [date], show them if they ask for it. By telling them you submitted for renewal, you're also telling them you've (probably) met the residency obligation or at least that it may have already been evaluated.
