Hi all,
I landed in Canada mid-Dec of 2006, I left for vacation in Jan of 2012 and returned to Canada 2 months and 15 days later, then left for vacation again in early Feb 2015 to present. My situation is as follow
Before I left for my first vacation I misplaced my PR card unawares of the importance of that card (immaturity/ignorance) I never got it replaced. Weeks before i came back to Canada I was told that I would need a PRTD because I did not have my PR card I applied and got the document before my scheduled returning flight.
When I went to service Ontario to have my PR card replaced because I had no identification documents (I was using my health card all along and then I was told it was illegal to do so) they told me it would cost $50CDN to replace it, at that time I didn't have any money to replace it and needed a form of I.D. ASAP the lady then told me the they gave out government issued Photo I.D. free so i took that option, with all the intentions to return and replace my PR card but stupidly I never replaced. Left for my most recent vacation and totally forgot that first time incident, I was refused entry back into Canada in the Airport check-in line (embarrassing I know). the following business day (yesterday) I handed in my complete PRTD application and I am currently waiting on contact from the Canadian High Commission office.

My questions are:
With my Residency Obligations met and considering I have been employed and working (currently I'm on paid vacation.....well I'm actually on unpaid Approved absences now) in Canada for the last 6 years, I have bills on my SSN, Student Loans on my SSN, credit cards on my SSN and they're all active, and also considering that my PR card has most likely expired three years ago (should have really went to get that citizenship when I first taught about it), what are my chances of getting a 2nd PTRD and how long would they take to come to a decision? (I know one can't say for sure but given the situation is it extensive research on their part )

If I do get denied (I'm praying that doesn't happen) how do I go about appealing and what can I do to make the appeal a better case than the initial application?

PS
Because I rushed to get my application in (yesterday, my flight was today) I didn't have any really great supporting documentation I handed in my
Passport (with my landing papers, and two one time entry visa's), Service Ontario Issued Photo I.D., S.I.N card, Health Card, and employment benefits card.

And now I'm just really worried I have alot more on my shoulders than the first time around, folks are counting on me and not the other way around so its eating me inside reading articles of people being denied.

So any advice or tips will be greatly appreciated

Thank you in advance!
