Hello,

I have been out of Canada since 2004, removed as a minor at the age of 3, and had applied for a PRTD under humanitarian and compassionate grounds and still got rejected. However, I now want to pursue my further course of studies there and would like to apply for an International Student Permit as a 19-year-old, in order to do so.

Could you kindly provide any information in regards to your application in which you explained your case to the Visa Officer that you believe helped grant you the International Study Permit?

Any guidance would be highly appreciated in this matter.

Recommend you read through the discussions in the International Students section of the forum.

As long as you are a PR, you cannot apply for a study permit. When your PRTD application was refused the letter would have included information asking if you wanted to renounce your PR and that in any case the process to remove your PR would begin and you had the right to appeal the decision. If you didn't do anything about any of that your PR will be terminated and then you'll be able to apply for a study permit.

Hello, which are the reasons your PRTD got rejected?
Most likely because the OP's family never established themselves in Canada and left soon after becoming PRs. This is the most common reason why we see PRTDs refused in these situations.
