Hi,

I landed as PR on May 22nd of this year.

I have a great 3-weeks training opportunity in the States in August, but I have not received my PR card yet.

I have several questions:

1. Can a business trip be used as a motive to request urgent processing of the PR card ?
2. How long does it take to get the PRTD nowadays through online application ?
3. If I show up at a land border crossing with my COPR, passport, provincial health card and provincial driver's licence, would the officer let me in ?

Thanks in advance for your tips and suggestions.

1. There's no urgent processing available for first time PR cards, to the best of my knowledge.
2. I'm not sure and will let others comment.
3. Yes, as long as you are crossing using a land border crossing in a private vehicle, you will have no issues entering Canada. You don't need all of that even. Passport and COPR will suffice.

I assume you already have a US visa.
