PRTD From USA.

My PR Renewal card is in process, and when I called CIC they mentioned they have sent a letter requesting me to go for PRTD as I am outside of Canada in USA.
So my question is do we have to send Original passport with the PRTD application and does anyone has experience with PRTD in US or any other country how hard\easy it is to get. Do I really need a lawyer for this as my lawyer is asking $1000 for 3 PRTD's.

We need to submit TD application with passports. In India it takes around 2 weeks thro VFS. You can apply directly.
