PRTD concern, not been to Canada for 7.5 years..

Me and my spouse got our PR in 2004, we completed 2 years out of first 5 years and came back to our country of origin (India) in 2008 due to some unavoidable social circumstances. We could not go back to Canada and our PR expired in 2009.

Now we want to go back to Canada and want our son (who is Canadian by birth, born in 2004 ) to study and grow in Canada.

My question is that if we apply for PRTD are there any chance that we can get it.

Unless you have strong humanitarian and compassionate reasons, the chances are extremely low.

Your PR status is most likely gone. But like others have said, if you have very strong H&C reasons, apply and see what happens. Provide as much evidence as you can to support your argument.
