PRs leaving Canada...what do we need to do...

Hi.

we arrived here in July2010 as PRs...we got everything in order, CCTB,OHIP,driver/work licenses, bank account, school etc....

unfortunately, no work for my USlicensed Vet husband...i do have a contract employment.
So, we decided to the US for work, my husband will be signing soon with a US facility.

since we dont know if we are ever coming back, we dont want to be residents for tax purposes.
CAn somebody please tell us what to do?
