Proving Home ties for a student

Hi all,
Can anyone comment on ways to show visa officer stronger home ties. Particularly, how can we show home ties with land/property?
In my particular case, my home is in my fathers name. Although he is willing to transfer on my name but still thats a lengthy(and costly) procedure. Is there any other way(like writing on affidavit that i will get home in future etc..) that my father could assist me in proving that land will be mine so that my home ties would get strengthened?

Well don't forget visa officers are trained in human psychology. The fact that you own a land may be part of the consideration, but the strongest ties has always been marriage/children/job availability in your home country and probably proof of your personal financial assets or business at home.
