I am from Nepal and looking to work in any province of Canada. I have completed MSc (Master Degree) in Human Resource Management from the University of Manchester, UK as well as MBA from India. I have more than 10 years of experience in HR field but my age is 58. My questions is;
1. Do you think I am still eligible (because of age factor)
2. If yes , which province is best for me to apply and what is is procedures
3. Name of the contact person (e.g. consultant) and his/her contact details including email, phone etc

1. Technically anyone is eligible for a temporary work permit (with a job offer and approved LMIA). It's possible you age may be a barrier to gettting a job offer. Your age will certainly be a barrier to qualifying for immigration to become a permanent resident. That probably won't be possible.
2. The process is the same regardless of the province. You have to start by securing a job offer from an employer in Canada. That employer must then obtain an approved LMIA (this process takes several months and it's generally difficult to find employers willing to go through this process). Once the LMIA is approved, you can then apply for the temporary work permit.
3. Stay away from consultants. Almost all of these are scams. You need to apply for jobs through sites such as LinkedIn and Indeed and also directly through employer websites.

Research PNPs that are not through Express Entry because you will not be eligible based on age. If directly through a province then you need to secure a job offer. Can’t tell you provinces because you will need to research based on your NOC. You need ECA and IELTS. Honestly at 58, it will be very challenging to immigrate. Some people are considering retirement in Canada around your age.

I'm sorry to tell you this but at age 58 you have no prospect of economic immigration to Canada due to everything scylla said.

The only exception would be if you if you got hired as an executive manager in an entity that is of strategic importance to Canada (an exceptional person within TEER 0. For example, a Canadian bank hiring a foreign CEO or executive. But those types of people don't proactively immigrate to Canada, they get headhunted by recruiters and top company lawyers do everything for them as far as immigration goes. Given you're posting here, you wouldn't fit that pedigree of talent either sadly.

Hello Guys,

Just a quick question.

I am applying and about to submit documents for OINP human capital stream. I was struck at a point where in the education field it’s asking for education credit assessment.

I did my Masters in Ottawa, Ontario and Bachelors in Hyderabad, India. I stated my bachelors also in my education history. So do I need ECA for my bachelors education or is it not needed? Could someone please help on this ASAP. Thank you.

ECA is for the highest degree of education achieved till date. If you are not claiming points for that degree its ok to not get ECA
