Today I received my Notification of Nomination from NB. While reviewing the nomination certificate, I noticed that Immigration NB made a mistake and listed the wrong employer on my certificate.
For context: I actually work at one of the biggest employers in NB, but the certificate lists another large company with a very similar name. It’s a common mix-up in NB (if you live in NB, you know what I'm talking about). Everything else (NOC code, job title, etc.) is correct, and I double-checked my application, I put the correct employer everywhere.
From what I’ve read online, I need to submit a Post-Nomination Request to notify INB about the clerical error. But here’s the problem: INB says it can take up to 30 days to process these requests and IRCC only gives me 30 days to accept my nomination.
What should I do? Should I wait for INB to fix the certificate, or should I go ahead and accept my nomination with IRCC while the correction request is being processed?
Has anyone gone through something similar? Any advice or experience would be really helpful right now.
