Hi All
I got my ITA in jan 2018.I received the request from the CIC to prove my provenance of my funds.My question is my father have deposited since 2014-2016 the amount which is need through random cash deposit which was not for immigration purpose.I m in the possession of this fund for nearly two years but now how can i prove thats the fund was gifted as I cant make a gift deed now at present date as cash was deposited nearly 2 years ago..
Plz help
 
Can’t you make a solemn declaration giving details of each transaction and state that these were outright gift with no recompense in cash or kind?

If the cash has been in your account for more than 6 months then you don't have to provide a gift deed or anything. The amount is considered yours. Just provide account statements.
