Hi,

My wife is planning to do her post grads in Thompson Rivers in Kamloops. When she applies for her visa, ca I aapply for a temporary residence permit simultaneously or do I have to wait till she gets her visa and then apply, Is student medical mandatory for her visa if she applies from the UAE. Also if we both get visa what is the process for me to get a work permit for Canada? Do we get it at arrival at the airport or do I have to apply later ? If later then how many days before I can get the permit? Do i have to be in Canada till the permit is given or can I travel in the meanwhile

Thanks

you can apply with your wife when she will be making study permit application, you will get full time work permit if your wife visa gets approved.........

I advice you DO NOT apply at the same time with your wife. It will bring getting your wife's chances of getting visa as well. Let your wife gets her visa first and if you ask me I tell you apply after 3 months at least! Hope it helps.

Many Thanjs for your advice..does this hold true even if we r well travelled? I mean ive been a student to the US and we have visited quite a few countries around the globe

Yes, It's always an advantage if you have good travel history, where you have always followed visa rules of that country and came back in time. Also US Visa stamping is definately an advantage.

If you have travelled to US and came back... then I dont think that applying along with your wife would have any impact on any of your applications.... It would rather be good on the count that you graduated from USA and going to canada for work....
