Proroguing - will Immigration be adversely effected?

I'm not going to state my opinion on this decision but I do wonder what effect prorogation may have no immigration applications. Leaving the political views aside, does anyone have opinions to share on how, or if, this will delay applications and create additional backlog?

As far as I know, Parliament has absolutely nothing to do with the processing of immigration cases, so it shouldn't matter.

Swede is right. It will make no difference whatsoever. In fact, while Parliament is in session they may change things, but while they are not they can't change anything. So proroguing is actually a guarantee that no laws will change.

Whether that is good or bad is a topic I have no interest in getting into on this forum.

The government still has some power to do things via Orders-in-Council, but I think we won't see any changes on the immigration front other than the possible removal of visa-free travel for citizens of Hungary.

Thanks guys. I thought it wouldn't have a effect on daily operations but not being familiar with the immigration branch of government I wanted to check.
