Hey guys.
I am a Canadian citizen that has now been married and living in Iran for 4 years.
I know that in order to sponser my husband I need proof that I will be returning to Canada when his PR visa is issued.
I already have a job offer from a Canadian employer. Somebody told me that it would be good if one of my relatives sent a letter stating that we would be living with them until we could find a place(once my husband lands in Canada). Mr sister in law lives in Canada and I could tell her to send a letter for me.
What do you think? Is this gonna help my case at all?
In the Sponser's guide it suggests that you proove that you've rented a place or bought one or something like that. But since I am going to come to Canada when the PR for my husband is issued I can't rent a place without having looked around and seen it first. What's up with that? and even so I don't know when the process will be done so how can I rent a place now?
I would appreciate it any answers you can give me.
Thanks alot.

Does anyone have a sample of the letter that should be written by a family member stating that we can live with them while we look for housing. That would be sooooooooo helpful.
Thanks alot.

Yes you can rent a place before having seen in person yourself, although some will caution about that. Rental listings in craiglist is a good start.

It will be helpful to have a letter from your sister in law. She will need to send it to you so you can include it in the application. It should just state that she has a home in Canada and is willing to let you all stay there until you find your own place.

My parents wrote a simple letter for us stating that myself and Mr. Cowtown could live with them while we get settled. So your sister in law could write and sign a letter just stating that she is aware of your plans and that you are welcome to live there, etc. She would need to send it to you and you put it with your other proof to return to Canada. That was pretty much all the proof I had (no job offer or anything else) and we were approved no problem. :)
