Hi Friends,
as mentioned on the page http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/funds.asp

"You will need to provide proof of your funds to the Canadian visa office in your home country when you submit your application for immigration."

What should be this proof of fund?
1. Should it be bank statement(s)?
2. and/or Certificate from bank(s) that this person has xxx amount in this/her account on this date.
if yes then can i show this money in multiple bank accounts in different countries (india and singapore), indian banks will only provide certificate in INR, then will CHC consider that certificate?

Please advise

Pankaj,

Its better if you send bank statement for 2 months. Because my friend and me send bank certificate which mentioned about xxx person have xxx amount in his account. My friend got reply from CIC to provide bank statement instead of certificate.

So my advice is to send 2 months statement to be on safer side.

You can send multiple account statement but try to mention how much is it equivalent to Canadian Dollar.

Cheers

Bank Certificate valid only in case of Fixed Deposits. For S/C or other account balance you must show a bank statement, 2 months should be good enough.

Best of Luck

Thanks friends,

So I should show Bank statements for my ALL BANK ACCOUNTS (India/Singapore) not the bank certificates.

Okay in case of bank statements will the internet banking printout of the bank statement will work for my indian bank accounts (will at approximatly hold 30% of the total funds i have to show) as i don't get monthly bank statements for my HDFC Bank Account and State Bank of Patiala Bank Account.

Please advise.

Fixed deposit is the part of your wealth which is deposited to bank but it is freezed for a certain period, you get paid interest for that period.

If fixed deposit you cannot get any certificates, becuase we experienced in Emirates bank here in dubai, becuae they told me that if you have fixed deposit the that are not allowed to give certificate only for current and saving account.

Hi Friends,

Thanks for your valuable inputs, another question is how to mention the equivalent in Canadian Dollars?
