I am a Canadian citizen living in the US. I am working on sponsoring my husband and children to move to Canada. I am confused about proving that I can support them. When we move we will be staying with my family there until we are able to find a home of our own and work. How do i show them as the guarantee of our support?

Have your family provide you with a signed letter confirming they will be supporting you and giving you a place to live until you get on your feet.

Is there a specific form for them to fill out or something? I saw something on the sponsorship evaluation about a co-signer but don't see additional information about this.

No, theres no form for this.

The co-signer is not relevant in your situation as the only person who can co-sign is a spouse/common-law partner.

But If I am living here with him and the kids in the US how can I show support for when we are there?

As scylla mentioned, have someone that is already in Canada (family/friend(s)) write a letter expressing their desire to help you and your family.
It would be best if the letter were notarized.

I don't know if you're still around, but I was just looking at your post and I see that I'm in a similar position. I'm even more confused because when I began this endeavor I was told explicitly over the phone that I did not have to be responsible to completely support my spouse. Now when I'm trying to complete this Sponsorship Evaluation form it is asking for explicit details about my ability to prove I can support her.
We work as a team even though we are currently apart - and she does have some money to keep her going until she finds work when she gets here... but I am in no position for her to be completely dependent on me.
I'm curious if you have learned anything further about this problem. (Perhaps you have solved it by now)
Thanks

Correction in my post: the aforementioned form would be the Document Checklist (IMM 5533) form not the Sponsorship Evaluation form. Sorry about that.
