Hello, this is for Common-law in Canada Class
I'm currently visiting my partner and are pretty much set to submit the PR application but stumbled upon a question.
We need a supporting document showing proof of my status in Canada.
I am from the USA and have 6 months to be here legally as a visitor. The officers at the border told me they couldn't stamp my passport or give me any documentation since they don't do that anymore and since I'm from the USA I'm good to go. They said the IRCC will have me on file and have my legal status on their record.
This sounds all good to me, but what do I submit as my document as it's required? Should I just provide my round trip plane tickets with an explanation?
Thank you!
