Also, we use stage names with eachother, not our birth names because we hate them.
Our corrospondences are in these names. This may present a problem, no?

All you can do is explain.. explain everything in great detail. The more you can make them understand, the better.

Hi veronica, what part of the philippines are you from? My wife is from Cagayan de Oro. I sent the application to CIC on august 11th, and on i think september 4th is started to process. Over all, it took us about 7 months and 2 days before she received her visa in the mail, and about 8 days (including weekend) for her to get her visa after the status on ecas changed to decision made. Hope this helps you, feel free to ask me any other questions if you have some as i'm happy to help. Good luck and try not to worry, you'll be with your husband again soon.

Thanks so much .. I live in Makati working as Brand Manager , 35. My husband hails from Quebec , Canada, 42 an Informatician :) I got DM July 13 with Medical results received...and as of this moment .. waiting for my passport with Visa :) You take care and good luck to you too.

I sponsored my husband from the UK and from start to finish our time line was July 27th when we sent the forms to Mississauga to January 9th when he landed and we did not go over board on our letters or photos. We sent in about 12 photos of our 4 holidays together including a couple from our wedding. Receipts from plane tickets and hotels stubs, a few emails and letter. We only had 8 people in total at our wedding including the commissioner who presided over it and there was no interview.

I think if your application is uncomplicated like ours you just need a sample of everything.

I think the burden of proof is a lot lighter when the applicant comes from the USA or UK than from China or the Philippines

Hey,
I am just wondering, do we have to sign the support letters which we provide to prove our relationship?

The person who wrote the support letter should sign and date it.

Hi all,

was also wondering if i can just print photos from my digital camera instead of having the photos printed (as this is more expensive)

Would this work as well?

Thanks in advance

Yes you can! You can do it in a word format where you can add captions to your photos. That's what we did and I've read a lot of applicants that did the same. We had about 4/5 photos per pag and had 15 pages in total.

Good Luck!!

Thanks Jeans22

I was just apprehensive that the immigrations officers would find it less authentic if its printed on bond paper (considering all the photoshop going on) but if it worked for the others then I guess that will be vaild.

Thanks again!

I posed this a while back, but here is what I thought to include:

A 25-page document with pictures inserted (in Word) with captions with about 60 pictures total that has an outline narrative of our relationship.
Joint Lease
Joint bank account
Joint adoption for our dog (no kids...)
Joint travel: E-tickets and boarding passes
TONS of mail to our address together, including government, bank, phone, friends, cards to each other, bills, etc.
Phone Records shoring our correspondence the few times we were away and also when we were together
A big stack of Emails between the two of us
Print out of Facebook pages that say "in a relationship with.." - a lawyer told me to do this, no kidding!
My sponsor included a short one-page relationship narrative, too, where he talked about his feelings (mine was more choronological).

Plus a Cover Letter which includes a relationship narrative with names of friends/family met, etc. and when I came to canada, etc., plus a table of contents to all addendums.

We included TWO Statutory Declarations and two additional emails from friends/family supporting our relationship.

Hope this helps!
