Hi everyone,

I was single on the time of submitting my PR application and now I am on my BGC stage for one month now.

Two months ago I got engaged and have proposed to my spouse, in our culture you propose to the family not only to the girl (here it is considered unofficial marriage).

I have a lot of photographs with my spouse and her family, and we were planning to make the marriage official and request for the marriage certificate from the authorities as soon as I get my PPR (then request adding her to my application).

However, we will not be doing any marriage party or ceremony at that time until right before landing (culture again).

Do you think sharing the relationship photographs of a few months, plus some photographs with my spouse and her family while we are obtaining the marriage certificate is sufficient to convince the officer. Or, the marriage party/ceremony is essential and I have to do some sort of dinner with a considerable amount of people?

Please share your experiences.

i think the official certificate is a requirement. they don't usually ask for pictures unless they suspect marriage of convenience or something like that. better get it. otherwise what stops people from throwing a party and sending pictures of it

Hi, I have heard many people talking about relationship photos (ceremony) as proof that the relationship is real!
